In this 1980 sci-fi fright film, William Unhealthiness plays Eddie Jessup, a human concerned with discovering mankind’s alignment hat in the universe. To this end, he submits himself to a course of mind-expanding experiments. By introduction himself in a sensory-deprivation sepulchre and taking hallucinogenic drugs, Jessup hopes to prospect different levels of cause consciousness, but instead is devolved into an nonhuman monster. Supervisor Grasp Russell helmed Altered States from a promptbook by Rice Chayefsky, who adapted his own fiction of the same name. Uncheerful with the smooth product, Chayefsky had his eponym replaced with his name Sydney Aaron.
